Wood Fence Medford Oregon - 541-621-9348 - Medford Wood Fence Builders

Wood Fence Installation Medford Oregon

Do You Need A New Wood Fence Built Or Need To Replace The One That Is Falling Over?

We build standard and custom wood fences in Medford Oregon, Ashland OR, Grants Pass Oregon and all of Southern Oregon.

We really like wood fences because they are so diverse in the different ways that they can be built. You have several choices for the type of wood you would like to have your fence built from including cedar, pine and redwood.

We can build a standard cedar privacy fence or we can build a custom fence based on your ideas, plans or a photo. It all comes down to two things, the purposes of the fence and your budget.

For us the 6 foot cedar fence is the most common type of fence we build. We highly recommend using #1 grade cedar fence to build a fence with. If you are budget minded you can choose to have your fence installed with #2 cedar fence. Imperfections like knot holes is the big difference between the two grades with the #2 grade having more flaws.

Another thing to think about is the type of fence posts you would like to use when installing your fence. Fence posts are the usual suspects when you see a fence leaning or falling over, a fence with a wave or a fence that is sagging. Even though pressure treated fence posts are used they will still rot over time and will cause all of the problems just mentioned. But they are popular to use because they are an inexpensive choice.

Steel posts are an alternative to pressure treated posts. Steel posts are more expensive because the posts costs more and they will require more labor to install the fence. But they will last a substantially greater time span compared to wood posts.

There are several other options to consider with a wood fence as well. Such as how to stagger the boards, if you want shadow boxes, lattice, post caps, stain or sealant. Then there is also the height of the fence which can 4 ft up to 8 ft.

What ever type of wood fence you are looking for we can build and install it. What ever your fencing needs are we can help.

We service all of Medford OR Grants Pass OR, Rogue River Oregon, Gold Hill, Central Point OR, Shady Cove, Talent or Ashland we service all of Southern Oregon.

Give us a call today at 541-621-9348 for a quick, free and accurate bid. We will be waiting for your call.

  2. I’ve always loved the idea of a wood fence too! It conjures up the image of a quiet and peaceful home. The fact that they’re not closed keeps you open to the world, and yet upholds your privacy. Functionally, it lets strong winds pass through, so they’ll stand a lot longer than closed fences. I think it’s so cute how you all got together to put it up and paint it, by the way. Great job!
